General Functions of the School of Research and Graduate Studies
The general functions of the School of Research and Graduate Studies are as follows:
a. Liaise with Deans and Heads of Department on all matters relating to graduate studies.
b. Keep records of all graduate students and publish the graduate brochure from time to time.
c. Establish and maintain links with graduate schools in other Universities or institutions and promote exchanges of graduate students and staff engaged in graduate work between this University and other institutions.
d. Attract funds for critical research of students and faculty in the form of sponsorships, scholarships, fellowships, bursaries, awards, grants, exchanges etc. and make information available to all graduate students and researchers.
e. Design and run own programmes, especially programmes on research methodology.
f. Determine and direct research priorities of the university.
g. Establish and edit a high quality inter-disciplinary journal for graduate students
h. Set up and maintain a resource centre that displays theses/dissertations and abstracts for
