Brief Background
The Department of Finance is within the Central Business School of Central University College. The department runs the Bachelor Science Degree in Banking and Finance, and MBA (Finance).\ It is the philosophy of this department to produce graduates of high integrity and with high professional ethics. The curricular of the programmes run in the department, therefore, target the production of graduates who would exhibit high practical competencies in accounting and finance. The philosophy of the Department of Finance is therefore grounded within the overall philosophy of Central University College. The undergraduate programmes run by the department prepare graduates for positions in the banking sector and industry in general. The programmes also meet the requirements for the professional qualifications within the specialized areas such as Chartered Institute of Taxation, and Chartered Institute of Bankers (Ghana). This enables products of the programmes to be both academically and professionally competent in the fields of banking and finance and to enable them exhibit practical professional skills.

To create a brilliant atmosphere for teaching, learning and research that will result in developing world class scholars that will effect societal change positively.
