New Student Leadership Inducted Into Office
The Central University Students' Representative Council on 14th September 2018 had a remarkable handing over ceremony.
The ceremony which was chaired by Dr. Gloria Clarissa Dzeha, the Acting Dean of Students was well attended by some senior University administrators led by Prof. Ofusu-Anim, the Pro Vice Chancellor and Mr Emil Afenyo, the Registar and Rev. Fiifi Otabi Wilson, the University Chaplain. Members of the General Assembly were also well represented.
The event was held at the Central plaza at 3:00pm. The Outgone SRC President, Master David Doe-Sallah delivered his handing over speech and thanked his colleague executives as well as members of the university administration for their support during their tenure in office. He encouraged his successors to brave all odds and leave a good legacy during their administration.
After a stellar musical and poetry interlude, a well prepared speech was delivered by the newly sworn-in President, Albert Adomakoh-Nkansah who was full of optimism for the future. He promised that his team will do their best with God's help to serve the best interest of the students of Central University.
The Pro-Vice Chancellor in a brief remark, called on the student leadership to serve their colleagues and use all available channels to engage with management when ever possible. He advised them that more can be achieved in an atmosphere of collaboration and challenged the incoming team to give of their best.

The outgone SRC Chief Justice, Mr. Charles Ena Etse administered the oaths of office to the new executives. The master of ceremonies was Master Prince Osei, Vice President of the Law Students Association.
3 STUDENTS OF CENTRAL UNIVERSITY EXCEL AT UNILEVER AFRICA IDEA TROPHY 2018
Three (3) students of Central University, Hilda Eyram Kudzordzi, Emma K. Quayson and Shadrach Loveland Hayford studing Bsc Marketing, Law and Banking and Finance repectively competed in this year's Unilever Africa Idea Trophy. Their team, the BLACK STALLIONS, qualified after the 3 months journey, to the national finals held at the Bank of Ghana Auditorium at University of Ghana Legon on Friday 9th November 2018. After battling it out with 5 other universities, giving a presentation on plastic waste and the omo brand, the BLACK STALLIONS emerged as 1st runner up.
The team will be representing Ghana in the continental finals next February in South Africa. This is an all expenses paid trip and each student also won an HP laptop.The catch phrase for this edition was "Dirt is good".
The Unilever Africa Ideas Trophy is a yearly business competition hosted by Unilever around the globe. The purpose of the Idea Trophy is to create an “an out of the classroom” learning experience that focuses on the development of personal and entrepreneurial skills among students. It is a challenging and creative experience where you need to figure out how business works in real life.
