The head pastor of the International Central Gospel Church- Zoe Temple at Tema Community 5, Rev. Kojo Amo-Asare, donated on behalf of the congregation 50 packs of items to International Students of Central University and a few Ghanaian students who could not go home due to the closure of Ghana's borders due to efforts to contain and manage the Covid 19 pandemic.

Each student received the package composed of the following items: 2 kilos rice, 5 cups of Gari, 2 cups of Sugar, 2 tins of sardines, 1 tin of milk, 1 loaf of bread, 1 crate of egg, 1 tuber of yam, 1 hand sanitizer, 2 pack bottles of water and 1 box of bottled water.

This initiative based on an appeal made by Min. Mrs. Rebecca Love Lokko of ICGC who is also an Assistant Registrar in the Office of the Vice-Chancellor, Central University was promptly responded to by the church.

Rev. Kojo Amo-Asare  and his team indicated that the items donated were aimed at alleviating the hardship due to the Covid-19 pandemic. He advised the 50 students present to strictly adhere to the safety health precautions while in their various hostels and expressed their willingness to support anytime the need arises.

Present at the ceremony were Mr. Peter Karbo In-Charge, General Adminstation and Mrs. Gertrude Nelson, Head Centre for International Relations and Programmes at Central University. Mrs. Nelson expressed thanks on behalf of the Vice Chancellor and Management of the University to the Head Pastor and leadership of the church for their kind gesture.
