CENTRAL UNIVERSITY SUPPORTS 3 COMMUNITIES19th May 2020
As part of activities to reach out to our immediate communities during the Covid-19 pandemic, the Chiefs, Elders and Assembly men of the Miotso, Prampram and Dawhenya received some items from the University in brief ceremony on Saturday 16th May, 2020.
This Corporate Social Responsiblity activity gave each community the following items:
- 7 bags of 5kg x5 Royal Rice
- 5 boxes of 60 pieces of 1Lt sun flower cooking oil
- 2 pcs of 80Lt Veronica buckets
- 3 packs, 36 pcs of Jumbo paper towels
- 2 pieces of 4.5Lt hand washing liquid soap
- 1 pack, 50 pcs of hand sanitizers
- 30 pcs of face masks
Leading the delegation, In-Charge, General Administration, Mr. Peter Karbo informed the communities that the University had plans afoot to have a meeting with them before the interruption of the Covid-19 thereby interferring with the arrangments. He also assured them that Management is still committed to the programme and when things normalize a more appropriate time will be chosen to have the meeting. On their part, the leaders of the three communities thanked management for the kind gesture and looked forward to a stronger relationship between them and the University.
Some final year students from the Communications Department of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences also contributed funds raised and joined in the presentation as part of their social responsiblity assignment.
