BRIEF BACKGROUND

The Central Pre-University and Professional Insitute was formed in the year 2002 with the aim of creating a strong consultancy and business development wing for the University. Its overall aim is to promote excellent leadership through a continuous improvement of managerial and operational competencies by adopting integrated and custom-built packages that will provide effective and total positive response to the managerial challenges of organizations. 

The centre also uses its links with organizations and institutions to provide placements for students of the university who are mandated to undergo a four-month internship as an integral part of their degree programmes. Besides, the Centre runs the University’s Community Service Programme under which all Students perform a mandatory four-week community service in the areas of health, education, evangelism or any voluntary assignment which will benefit the society.

• Diploma in business studies (DBS) with options in Accounting, Marketing and Management

Management and skills development programmes are also available.

These are short courses of duration ranging between a few days and twelve weeks, depending on their contents. These courses, which are usually specialized in nature, are sometimes run jointly with outside consultants on a profit-sharing basis. Areas covered include Oil and Gas Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, Accounting, ICT etc.
